Our dancers will perform in conjunction with pipers from the WA Police Pipe Band at the Toodyay Food Festival in conjunction with the Avon descent on Saturday 1st August 2009 and then the Lifeline Ceilidh at the Perth Town Hall that same night.

We leave Perth Wednesday 11/08/2009 to again travel to Scotland. Good luck to Sophie, Chanel, Rachel, Anne-Maree and Rowena who will be competing.

Simone, Rebecca and Jemma together with Rochelle (assistant team Manager) will leave Switzerland and travel to Scotland again as part of the OzScot Australia team to perform at the Edinburgh Tattoo. It is hard work dancing on a car park for 4 weeks but an experience of a life time to be part of this spectacular tattoo. Hopefully the rain will stay away this year.

Congratulations to Chanel Aitkin and Rachel Bonus on winning their respective age groups at the 2009 International Championships on the Central Coast NSW.

Congratulations to Sophie Massy and Chanel Aitkin for becoming our latest Grand Australasian Champions in Sydney.

Kathryn Willers, Jemma Crook, Simone Sullivan, Rebecca Adamson, Ashleigh Civiello and Rowena Miller have just enjoyed a fabulous couple of weeks dancing with the OzScot Australia team at The Basel Tattoo in Switzerland.

Congratulations to 9 year old Sophie Massy on winning the 7 -10 years Southern States Championship in Mt Gambier. A great effort to dance her first championship 7 – 12 years on the Saturday and then the next day to win her first championship 7 – 10 years.

Our dancers will perform for the Scottish Heritage Society and their guests at The Kirking of the Tartan on 28 June 2009

Ashleigh Civiello and Victoria Goode will travel to Canberra to compete in the ACT Championship on 30th May. We all wish you both the very best of luck.

Good luck to all dancers competing at WA’s Doddemeade competition on Sunday 17th May.

Best of luck to Victoria Goode who will combine a holiday to visit relatives and also compete at the Queensland championship at Home Hill on the Easter weekend of 11th and 12th April, 2009.

Good luck to all our dancers who are travelling to Kalgoorlie to compete in the Goldfields Invitation Premiership on Saturday 14th March, 2009.

It was wonderful to have Rachel McLagan from Blairgowrie, Scotland staying with us over February and March.

Rachel was travelling around Australia and it was great to have her dancing in class and also taking some lessons with our younger dancers while she was in Perth. We all loved having you and hope you enjoyed yourself on you second visit to Perth.

Also joining us for a week was Claire. It was nice to have Claire in a few lessons after travelling Australia and passing through Perth on her way back home to Dunoon in Scotland.

Good luck to Anne-Maree Feierabend who will travel to Brisbane 14th March, 2009 to stay with the Haseldine’s and dance the Thistle championship.

Chanel Aitkin and Anne–Maree Feierabend will travel to Adelaide to dance the South Australian Championship on March 7th, 2009.

Welcome to Rebecca and Jessie who have joined our class since coming from Sharon Greatorex’s Kalgoorlie’s dance school to attend university in Perth.

Also welcome to Ziah, Alexis, Sean and Emma who are just beginning their highland careers. It is great to have you in the class and hope you enjoy it.
Welcome also to Kristy who is on an exchange teacher program from Canada and who will be bouncing around our Perth studio on Wednesdays until the end of 2009.

Robyn Beckwith (nee Crawford) has a new daughter Colbie. A little sister for Noah.

Kelly-Jo and Dean Criddle (nee Ritchie) have had their second son Lachlan. A brother for Josh.

Good luck to Victoria Goode who will dance the Newcastle Championship in New South Wales on March 1st, 2009.

In February the dancers from our Northam class together with Rochelle and Rowena from Perth will entertain crowds at the famous “Boyup Brook Country Music Festival”.

Dancing will be Avelyn Cooke, Rachel Saffioti, Stephanie Ashworth, Jeklyn Wallis, Koralee Coote, Kiara and Cherice Kietzmann, Grace and Tegan Jezierski.

The year as usual starts with the Oz Concert in the gardens of Government House on 25th January, 2009.

This year our little ones Sophie, Brooke, Imogen and Georgina will join our seasoned Oz concert dancers and dance a combination of styles with Paul Hughes from WA Police Pipe Band on pipes. The concert will be broadcast to SBS during 2009 and again on 26th January, 2010.
