• 13/02/2011 - Congratulations to Paul Hughes and Ali Smith who will celebrate their engagement with a cocktail party tonight.

 

• Congratulations to Rachel Bonus, Ashleigh Civiello, Anne-Maree and Elizabeth Feierabend who all achieved their required scores to get into their requested courses at Notre Dame, University of WA and Curtin universities respectively. Also congratulations to Kathryn Willers who graduated with a Sports Science degree from Edith Cowan university in 2010 and also in 2010 to Jessica Rowland who completed her double degree at University of WA with an invitation to do honours in 2011.

• Thank you to David Wilton for his absolutely brilliant workshop held 21st, 22nd and 23rd of January at La Salle College WA.  David is a great ambassador for highland dancing around the world and a wonderful role model to dancers of all ages.

• 25/01/2011 - OZ concert in the gardens of Government House Long Way to the Top danced with Badpiper. The concert will be shown on SBS on Easter Sunday 24/04/2011 at 2:30pm and again on Australia day in 2012.

• Our dancers will perform with the WA Police Pipe Band (WAPOL) at their concert on Saturday the 30th to showcase their last CD together with old favourites. The concert will be held at the John Curtin Theatre and there will be an evening and a matinee. Tickets will be available to the public.

 

• 50th Golden Jubilee of the Australian Board of Highland Dancing  
  A formal dinner will be held at the Menzies Hotel, Sydney on Saturday night 30th October. Tickets available by emailing .

• Best wishes to Chanel and Angie who will trave in the last 3 weeks of August to Scotland to compete at the British Open, World Pipe Bands, Bute, Commonwealth and World Championships.

 

• Some of our dancers will dance with Scotch College Pipe Band at their fair held in the school grounds on Saturday August 28th.

 

• Victoria and Rowan will also travel to Barrier Reef Championship in August.

We are all building frequent flyer points in this year!

• Good luck to Chanel, Brooke, Alana, Angie, Sophie, Anne-Maree, Victoria and Alexis who will travel to Sydney to compete at the Grand Australasian Championship in NSW July 5th.

 

• On July 23,24 and 25th Anne-Maree, Rachel, Annie, Angie, Chanel, Brooke, Sophie, Rowan, Caitlin, Victoria, Helen, Aimee, Tiffany, Stephanie and Rachael are all looking forward to competing at the International Championships and competition to be on the central coast NSW.
  This will be a great weekend with the group choreography, duos and trios on the Friday night.

• Belinda, Rowena, Anne-Maree, Ashleigh, Chanel, Victoria, Rowan and Ali will dance “Scotland the Brave” in two shows on Saturday the 5th at the Perth Concert Hall. They will perform with the usual cast of Scotland the Brave and the WA Police Pipe Band (WAPOL).

 

• Good luck to Angie and Alana who will dance in the Canberra Championship also on the 5th June. Sophie and Angie who will dance the Southern States Championship, Mt Gambier on the 13th June.

 

• Good luck to Angie, Victoria, Chanel, Brooke and Rachael who will dance the Garrick Stewart Championship in Adelaide on 26th June.
